Getting Started

Invite Strangeer, grant the right permissions, and get fully protected in under a minute.

Inviting Strangeer

Use the Invite button on the website or in the bot's mention reply, choose your server, and approve the permissions.

Administrator is strongly recommended so every protection works without permission gaps.

  1. 1Open the invite link and select your server.
  2. 2Keep the requested permissions enabled (Administrator recommended).
  3. 3Move Strangeer's role to the TOP of the role list.
  4. 4Open the dashboard and configure the Security tabs.

Permissions Strangeer needs

If you don't grant Administrator, give at least the following so detection and punishment work:

Ban / Kick Members
Apply ban and kick punishments.
Moderate Members
Apply timeouts.
Manage Roles
Clear roles, create protection roles, fix hierarchy.
Manage Channels
Lock, hide, restore, and protect channels.
Manage Webhooks
Detect and act on webhook abuse.
Manage Server
Read server settings for anti-nuke.
View Audit Log
Attribute actions to the user who did them.
Manage Messages
Delete spam, bad words, and bad links.

Why role position matters

Important

Discord only lets a bot act on members and roles BELOW its own highest role. If Strangeer can't ban or kick a nuker, its role is too low.

The General tab flags this — 'Strangeer has the highest role' shows ✗ until you move the role to the top.

First-time setup

Everything is configured from the web dashboard — log in with Discord, pick your server, then walk the Security tabs.

  1. 1Dashboard → pick your server.
  2. 2Anti Nuke → enable protections (use Enable All for a fast start).
  3. 3Master Protection → turn it on so the bot's roles can never be stripped.
  4. 4Logs → set a Security log channel, ping roles/users, optional owner DM.
  5. 5Backup & Recovery → create a backup so you can restore later.
  6. 6Click Save on the floating bar.
